Bars and Serving Tables
Commission: Tomas Floating Corner Bar
Details: The Client wanted a Corner Bar where friends could put drinks while playing pool in his new pool room. As with all in home pool rooms the major requirement was that the bar not take up too much space and interfere with player movement. This meant low profile and no legs.
Materials and Construction: White Oak was chosen for it’s strength and durability. Due to the walls not being flat nor 90 degrees to one another, the design had to allow the back board to move tight to the walls while still fully supporting the top. A rabbit was cut into the backer and then an additional support was added hidden under the top. You can actually stand on the bar and it does not move. The finish is 4 coats of Watco Oil and Wax.
